Florida Safety Driving Instructions

Okay. So doing 50 in a 35 is a really bad idea, I know that. But I was not paying attention, not thinking, running late. If I’d paid attention to the Florida safety driving instructions that I got when I first took driver’s ed, and remembered the part about how being a few minutes earlier is not worth risking your life over, maybe I wouldn’t have gotten a ticket. But I did, and I got sent to traffic school.

There is a cool thing now that you can do, where you can take Florida online ticket school right on your computer instead of going to a classroom to take defensive driving. It’s really handy and easy to do! I didn’t need to install a bunch of stuff on my hard drive, just go to the web site and start clicking. Everything’s stored on their end, and I didn’t need to worry about using more than one computer or my boss finding out that I was using the computer at work (on my lunch hour, of course, but still) to do this.

The school I used is called National Driver Safety Services (NDSS) and they were super-nice. They have a 24-hour customer service department, so when I had a question at 11:00 at night one time they had a person there to answer it for me. I wish I didn’t need to review those Florida safety driving instructions again, because if I’d been thinking I would have been safer. But luckily, nobody got hurt, and now that I’ve finished the NDSS course I’m pretty confident I won’t make the same mistake again.
